Cheri Wood – accounting/office staff
Cheri Wood was raised in the Sullivan area and graduated from Lake Land College summa cum laude with an Associate’s Degree in Accounting. She has more than 20 years of experience working at various businesses, and has been employed in accounting, doing bookkeeping, payroll, etc. She and her husband Joel have attended New Life since 1996. Since January of 2008, Cheri has worked in the office at New Life. She loves being involved in many ministries, and currently is a member of the Worship Team, Children’s Ministry Team, and Prayer Team. She schedules the scores of volunteers who work in the many New Life ministries, and oversees the Bread of Heaven bookstore and communion preparation.
Cheri and Joel have been married for 30 years. They have two grown children—Tyler and his wife Mandy who live in Springfield, IL, and Teela and her husband Brandon who live in Houston, TX. They are proud grandparents of 2 granddaughters and 1 grandson. Cheri and Joel enjoy vacationing and visiting their children. She also enjoys singing, dancing, Zumba, and chatting with friends in person and on Facebook. Cheri says, “I love to worship and want others to experience God in worship too.”
